English Language Institute Director
Description
The Brenau University English Language Institute seeks to hire an experienced director to serve as the visionary leader for our English language programs.
Brenau University is a private, non-profit institution situated in the foothills of the Georgian Blue Ridge mountains about one hour northeast of Atlanta. The English Language Institute (ELI) was developed in response to the need for English proficiency instruction to serve increasing populations of independent and government-funded cohorts of students, both domestic and international. The ELI provides instruction in the form of an Intensive English Program and Pathway Program, and will provide English for Specific Purpose programs as needed in the future.
The ideal candidate for this position has the following qualifications:
- Ph.D. or Ed.D. in TESOL, linguistics, educational leadership, or closely related field preferred
- M.A. in TESOL, linguistics, or closely related field required
- Minimum 7 years experience teaching English to non-native speakers
- Minimum 3 years experience in language program administration
